Installation Guide

This guide is for the person installing the StoreInsight analysis device at the store. Once you place the device, connect power and cables, and finish the network connection and camera registration from the On-Site Control Panel on the attached monitor, installation is complete.

Installation steps

  1. Install the device — Choose a location, connect peripherals and power, and turn it on
  2. Connect and configure the network — Connect the camera and internet equipment and set IP addresses
  3. Register cameras — Find the store’s cameras and register them with StoreInsight
  4. Set up external access — Port forwarding to view the dashboard from outside the store

What you need

Besides the analysis device, you’ll need:

  • Monitor, keyboard, and mouse — Peripherals for operating the On-Site Control Panel.
  • LAN cables — To connect to the camera equipment (cameras and NVRs) and the internet equipment.
  • USB wired network adapter — Used to add connections through a USB port when there are two or more stream networks and the LAN ports run short.

Site information

Preparing the store’s network layout and camera addresses in advance speeds up the on-site work. The example below is a template; actual values differ per store, and any pre-agreed values should be used as-is.

RTSP stream addresses for analysis

192.168.51.102rtsp://admin:password@192.168.51.102:554

You don’t need the camera addresses in advance. The On-Site Control Panel finds the cameras on the store network automatically, so you can confirm and register them on the spot during Register cameras.

After installation

Once installed, you configure lines, zones, event schedules, and ad performance in the dashboard. Basic settings such as the branch name, operating hours, minimap, and user accounts are set up together with Deeping Source during initial provisioning.
